The Coal River Coaches travel club is one of the best places in Tasmania to meet local people and travel with like minded people. This is a club that you do not want to miss out on being a part of!!
It is a place to form friendships, catch up on the chit chat or make up some new chit chat and discover the interesting places that as locals we never get to or don’t think about experiencing as locals in our own state. The coach captains that take you around are real homegrown locals that have a raft of experiences that they love to share and they strive to make you feel at home as you experience their hospitality and service.
The club is designed to be available to everybody and should be a place of fun, interesting and enjoyable experiences .

Coal River Coaches: Travel Club 2020 Launch
The 2020 launch was a blast right from the start with a great locations at the Glenorchy District Football Club rooms which has plenty of space and made all of their guests feel safe and secure in this COVID world. If you couldn’t drive into the launch yourself, Coal River Coaches had coach collection points that were offered, which gave all the guests travelling with them the chance to chat with the coach captains. By the way, did you know that all of our coach captains are fully qualified as drivers, guides - that’s why they are called coach captains!!!.
It was all meet and greet fun on arrival with invitations to enjoy a great morning or afternoon tea that really did the catering justice. (Waji Catering)
The day ended up being quite informative with a wonderful selection of day trips, extended Tasmanian tours which helps to really support local Tasmanian businesses and individuals by using their products and services. Local Tasmanian Business, Local Tasmanian Knowledge, Local Tasmanian Passion.

Coal River Coaches: Highly Trained Coach Captians
As one of the leading luxury coach charter & hire companies of Tasmania, Coal River Coaches has a dedicated standard of training and experience that we provide our transport and transfers guests. When a coach captain is felt to have a significant level of experience, they are then taken through our personalised and dedicated coach driver / captain training to help them progress as a tour guide.
All of our Travel Club touring coach captains has passed our rigours driver training program which lasts for up to 12 weeks and have also completed the Tasmanian Tourism training that qualifies them to be a Tasmanian Specialist tour guide.
So yeah, there isn’t much that these ladies and gentlemen wont or don’t know about Tasmania.
Coal River Coaches: Christmas Party
The end of year Christmas party for our members has turned into quite the occasion. With the occasionally dance being displayed, the chit chat and talking gets to a fevour pitch when these group of friends get together.
The Christmas has been previously held at the Montrose Surf Club, but has now shifted to the KGV grounds where we can get up to even more mischief (which we call fun anyway)
